Détails du produit

The VITILAN U3 is the lower-priced step-through folding option in this five-bike range. A 48V 13Ah battery, 20 x 3-inch tires and mechanical disc brakes keep its specification distinct from the larger-battery U7. Front-fork and seatpost suspension add comfort without a rear-wheel shock. All three Canadian colours are currently sold out.

Consider U3 when purchase price and a step-through folding frame matter more than hydraulic brakes or maximum battery capacity. Its published 29.8 kg weight is still significant for carrying. U7 adds wider tires, hydraulic braking and a 20Ah battery, but both models currently have no Canadian stock.

Step-through access at a lower price

U3 focuses on the frame features many buyers want first: a low step-through opening and a folding design. It uses a smaller battery and simpler brakes than U7. Those differences explain more about ownership than the shared 750W motor rating. Check reach and saddle height carefully; a low frame opening helps mounting, but it does not guarantee comfortable fit or easy handling.

A 624Wh battery for shorter plans

The removable 48V 13Ah battery stores 624Wh nominally. VITILAN separates its published estimates into about 48 km on throttle and up to 72 km with pedal assist. Another specification block gives a shorter range. Plan conservatively, particularly in cold weather or on hilly routes. The removable design lets you charge in a suitable indoor space without bringing the bike itself inside.

Three-inch tires and cable-operated brakes

U3 uses 20 x 3-inch tires rather than the four-inch tires on U7 and V3 2.0. Its 160 mm mechanical disc brakes are cable-operated, unlike those models' hydraulic systems. Check cable tension and pad wear during regular maintenance. Tire pressure affects handling and comfort, while the fork and suspension seatpost provide cushioning at the front wheel and saddle.

Folding still leaves weight to manage

The Canadian comparison lists U3 at 29.8 kg. Folding helps storage, but carrying it up stairs or lifting it into a vehicle remains a separate consideration. Shimano seven-speed gearing lets you change pedal resistance independently of assistance. Before a ride, check the folding mechanism, brakes and lights, then select a low assistance level while getting familiar with the bike.

These high-power configurations are not represented as road-legal e-bikes across Canada. Check provincial and municipal requirements before purchase, including motor limits and permitted riding locations. A speed setting alone does not establish eligibility. Ride only where this configuration is permitted.
